New NEET report backs PEF charities
A new report on the NEET issue has highlighted the work of six of PEF’s portfolio charities. New Philanthropy Capital’s (NPC) latest guide, Getting back on track, features the Place2Be, Every Child a Chance Trust, Skill Force, School-Home Support, Fairbridge and Vital Regeneration.
Shaks Ghosh, Chief Executive of PEF, said “That NPC has included so many of the organisations which we back is a resounding endorsement not only of our investment choices but of the work we’ve done with each charity to enable them to grow and change many more young lives for the better.
“As the report concludes, there is no straightforward answer to the NEET problem as the barriers faced by each individual are very different. However, where government policy has often proved a blunt instrument, charities are able to create personalised responses to personal problems. This is exactly why PEF has taken its unique holistic approach to the issue. Only a portfolio of charities can offer a portfolio of solutions.”
